POLICIES AND RULES

Dear guests, to ensure your safety and comfort and that of other guests during your stay at Lotus Hotel Tirana, we have drafted several Policies and Rules that are mandatory for each of our guests. We would like to make you aware of the hotel's Policies and Rules and we consider it good that all our guests are familiar with and fully understand these Policies and Rules from the beginning of their stay at our hotel.



REGISTRATION TIME

Check-in at the hotel is from 2:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to room availability.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Guests must be at least 18 years old to check in at Lotus Hotel Tirana.

  • All guests checking in at the hotel must confirm their identity by providing a valid ID document such as a passport, ID card or driving license.

  • A means of payment in the name of the guest checking in is also required.

  • Guests are given a room key after checking in at the reception and are asked to ensure that the room is locked.

DEPARTURE TIME:

Check-in time ends at 11:00 AM. A daily surcharge, plus tax, may apply for check-out after 11:00 AM.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES:
  • Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please go to the reception so that the service staff can start cleaning your room as soon as possible.

  • If you need to leave your room after 11:00, please contact the reception one day before your departure date and we will do our best to accommodate your request, but this is subject to room availability.

  • All departures after 11:00 will be considered as late check-out and an additional cost of 5 EUR per hour will be applied to the guest's account. If the departure is after 18:00, an additional night including breakfast will be charged in full.

  • If during your stay, for any reason, you need to leave earlier than the reserved date, it is necessary to inform the reception 24 hours before departure. Otherwise, the full night's stay with breakfast will be charged.

  • Guests are required to hand over their keys to the receptionist upon departure. If guests lose or fail to return the key, they are required to pay a fine of _____ EUR.

PAYMENT TERMS:

For hotel registration, a guarantee of payment is required, such as a credit card, deposit, etc. Payments can be made in euros, US dollars or in local currency according to the official average exchange rate of the Bank of Albania on the day of registration.

CANCELLATION AND REFINANCING:

Reservations must be cancelled at least twenty-four hours (24 hours) prior to your arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee of the full room rate for one (1) night. If reservations are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to your arrival date, you may be charged the full room rate plus tax. If you are staying more than one (1) night, only the first night and tax will be charged. If you cancel your reservation, you must receive and retain the cancellation notice from the hotel.

NO SHOW PAYMENT:

Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date for a guaranteed reservation will result in a no-show fee being charged to your credit card. For no-shows at the hotel reception on the reservation date, you will be charged only for the first night plus tax, while the balance of the reservation for the remaining days will be canceled.

GROUP BOOKING:

Large group reservations must be canceled at least seven (7) days prior to arrival date. Reservations canceled after this date may be charged one (1) full room rate plus tax for each room reserved, while the balance of the reservation for the remaining days will be canceled.

CHILDREN'S REGISTRATION:

Children of all ages are welcome at our hotel. As parents or guardians of children, you are personally and legally responsible and must supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in the room or on the hotel premises.
Children aged 6 and over can stay free of charge when sharing a room with one or more adults, using their existing bedding.

EXTRA BED:

In addition to the existing bed, a sofa bed may be available in the room and can be used upon request.

    The fee is as follows:

  • Children from 0 – 6 years old free of charge.

  • Children from 6 -12 years old, 15% of the room price.

  • Adults and children from 12-18 years old, 25% of the room price.

VISITORS:

Guests may have visitors in their rooms, but they must register in advance at the reception. Visits are allowed until 21:00, while in case of extended visit (after 21:00), the hotel will charge you an additional fee of 15 euros including VAT per person per night, in addition to the additional guest. Visitors are not allowed to use the guest facilities, including hotel services, breakfast or Wi-Fi. As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.

BREAKFAST:

Breakfast at Lotus Hotel Tirana is complimentary for registered guests only. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Guests cannot join a registered guest for a complimentary breakfast. Guests must pay €8.00 per person at the front desk if they wish to have breakfast.

SMOKING POLICY:

HOTEL LOTUS TIRANA is completely smoke-free. For safety and to ensure that our facility is not exposed to items or activities that create an unhealthy and unpleasant odor for our guests and staff, and that are difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls and furniture, we do not allow smoking, marijuana, illegal drugs, electronic cigarettes, cooking, cigars, burning candles, the use of other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products. Guests are requested to notify the front desk immediately if they smell cigarettes, marijuana or other unpleasant odors.

In case of non-compliance with this rule, the Hotel is obliged to penalize you with a fine of 100 euros.

ANIMAL POLICY:

Lotus Hotel Tirana does not allow guests to keep animals in the hotel premises and rooms. In case of finding any animal such as a dog, cat, etc., in the hotel premises, without the permission of its management, they will be taken out and the hotel will not make any refund of the room rate in the event of the guest's departure.

QUIET TIME:

The hours of rest and quiet at the hotel are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

If you become aware of a guest violating this rule, please contact the front desk staff immediately via the room phone or in person. Televisions and other sounds or devices should be kept at a low level so as not to disturb other guests at all times.

Doors should open and close silently.

NO PARTIES IN THE ROOM

LOTUS HOTEL TIRANA to ensure that all our guests are quiet and undisturbed at all times does not allow parties in the room. Parties, loud disturbances and/or noise are not allowed or tolerated in these premises. In case of disturbance, our staff will politely request (warning) to reduce the noise. If our request is not respected, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without refund.

Registered guests are responsible for all visitors they may have. Visitors are only allowed until 9:00 PM. If there are more "people" in the room than are listed on the Guest Registration Form, your stay will be considered a party. You will be ordered to vacate the premises without a refund and may be charged a penalty fee as compensation for unregistered visitors.

ROOM MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION:

Room maintenance is provided daily from 09:00 to 14:00. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily and a detailed log is maintained in each room. Rooms are provided for guest use in a suitable, clean and tidy condition. Hotel staff are trained and capable of identifying the odors created by prohibited items. If our investigation concludes that you have smoked in your room, cooked or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined and evicted without any refund.

CHANGING SHEETS AND TOWELS:

Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiple nights, sheets are changed every three days, while used towels are replaced with fresh towels daily. If the maid is unable to make a bed due to personal items left on the bed, you will be notified via a note. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any additional questions or concerns.

LOST AND FOUND ITEMS:

LOTUS HOTEL TIRANA does not bear any responsibility for lost, misplaced, stolen or damaged valuables. If you discover that you have left something valuable in your room, please contact the Reception immediately and we will try to assist you in finding your lost item.

The hotel is not responsible for any items left behind by a guest. However, any items, with the exception of perishable items, that may have been forgotten in the room by our guests and found by the room service employee, will be recorded and kept in a safe place for up to fourteen (14) days.

We will make every effort to notify the guest of the lost item. If the phone number or email provided by the guest is incorrect and we are unable to contact the guest within the fourteen (14) day retention period, the lost item will be held for a period of 3 months. After this period, the lost item may be disposed of. Perishables, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries will be disposed of immediately.

RETURN OF ITEMS:

We will be happy to return your forgotten items to you via Albanian Post, DHL or another company at your request. You will be responsible for all shipping charges. Also, LOTUS HOTEL TIRANA is not responsible if items are lost or damaged during shipping by the postal company.

ALCOHOL AND FOOD POLICY:

Guests who may bring alcoholic beverages to the hotel must consume them inside their room. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be consumed in public areas of the hotel, such as the lobby, hallways, etc.

Guests are also prohibited from bringing in outside food or cooking food inside the hotel room. In any case, the Hotel reserves the right to remove this food from the premises.

PROHIBITION OF WEAPONS AND DANGEROUS MATERIALS:

LOTUS HOTEL TIRANA acknowledges that guests may legally possess firearms or weapons for a variety of legitimate purposes, but for the safety of our guests and staff, firearms, explosives, flammable materials, or other dangerous chemicals are not permitted on the premises.

FIRE PROTECTION:

In the event of a fire alarm, please follow the instructions on the evacuation plan attached to the inside of your main room door.

ACCESS TO WIFI:

Access to WiFi is free for our registered guests. The password can be found at the reception and in your room. Lotus Hotel Tirana does not assume any responsibility for any problems that may be caused to guests by using WiFi.

IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICIES AND RULES:

All hotel staff are trained to respond to potential violations of our Hotel Policies and Rules. Guests who refuse to comply with reasonable standards and policies established by Lotus Hotel Tirana for the safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, and the operation and management of the hotel will be evicted, without refund. In addition to the room rate, a minimum cleaning fee of €100 per room will be charged for violations of our hotel policies and rules.

PARKING:

Parking of vehicles for guests in the hotel parking lot is free of charge. Parked vehicles are the responsibility of the vehicle owner and Lotus Hotel Tirana shall not be liable for any vehicle or passengers while operating or parking on the hotel property. If a vehicle is left in the hotel parking lot without the written consent of the hotel, after the guest has departed, the hotel reserves the right to remove the vehicle at the owner's expense. The hotel will not allow any work or repair to be carried out on any vehicle in its parking lot.

DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY:

Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or intentional, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each individual room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the registered guest's credit card. In extreme cases, criminal charges may be filed against the perpetrator. Damage to rooms, equipment, furnishings, and fixtures, including the removal of electronic devices, towels, artwork, etc., will be charged at 120% of the full replacement value, plus any shipping and handling charges.

DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDS:

Damage to mattresses and beds including pillows, sheets, covers, blankets, etc., resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe polish, etc., by guests will result in the application of a special cleaning, repair or replacement fee for the damaged item by the guest who caused the damage.

ROOM EQUIPMENT AND INVENTORY:

It is not permitted under any circumstances to remove equipment and room inventory from the hotel, including pillows, blankets, towels, sheets, etc.

Please check our website regularly for updates. Any modification to these Hotel Policies and Rules that occurs prior to your departure is considered part of your reservation agreement with us. A copy of these Hotel Policies and Rules is available on our website, in the guest room brochure and is also available from the reception staff.
